Who are Fleet Home Electronics?

Fleet Home Electronics are part of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, delivering a salary sacrifice scheme for technology in association with Currys. The scheme is designed to provide public sector employees with access to over 5,000 products, including the latest desktop computers, laptops, tablets, televisions, smart technology and domestic appliances and importantly, generating an income stream to the public sector employer.

Why Fleet Home Electronics?

Northumbria Healthcare has over a decade of experience in salary sacrifice schemes launching what is believed to be the first salary sacrifice scheme for lease cars in 2005. We currently provide salary sacrifice schemes to over 200 organisations, exclusively in the public sector - we know your business, as it's also our business.

Unlike most of our competitors we are not privately owned and have no shareholders, therefore any surplus generated from the scheme is reinvested into public services.

The scheme can easily be accessed via a public sector framework, resulting in a very quick implementation and avoiding a lengthy and costly procurement exercise.

This scheme is intended to benefit all permanent members of staff and gives access to thousands of everyday home electronic products, through a cost effective salary sacrifice arrangement. At a time when it is difficult to reward public sector staff, the scheme is a very popular benefit among employees.

Due to our association with Currys and the extensive product range available within the scheme, employees are able to replace old or broken home appliances without the need to rely on personal credit or payday loans, especially given our scheme is available 365 days per year.

Full customisation allows the implementation of local rules around maximum employee exposure, to meet your own duty of care agendas. Limits can be set based on the RRP of the product(s) and can be implemented as a percentage of salary or a maximum spend level.

OpRA rules

The scheme has been revised in light of HMRC changes in April 2017 and has been implemented in Northumbria Healthcare following HMRC approval, which was received in August 2017.
